Overview
NK Hull Structure Plate is manufactured for shipbuilding and offshore structural applications requiring compliance with ClassNK (Nippon Kaiji Kyokai) classification requirements. Available in both normal-strength and high-strength grades, these steel plates are suitable for hull structures, decks, bulkheads, bottoms, and other primary load-bearing components.

Refined through LF and VD vacuum degassing processes to keep S and P impurities low, helping prevent internal defects and laminations.
Controlled carbon equivalent (Ceq ≤ 0.38%) via TMCP processing provides consistent weldability and helps reduce preheating requirements during shipyard fabrication.
Offers verified Charpy V-Notch impact energy at temperatures down to -40℃ to maintain structural integrity in cold water conditions.
Advanced S-reduction and Ca-treatment deliver Z-direction performance (Z15/Z25/Z35) to prevent lamellar tearing in thick joints (≥25 mm) per ClassNK and ASTM A770.

Processing & Value-Added Services
Beveling & Edge Preparation: Factory-performed V, K, or X-shape bevel cutting to expedite on-site shipyard welding.
Custom Cutting & Profiling: Precision CNC flame and plasma cutting according to client structural CAD drawings.
Surface Pre-treatment: Automated SA 2.5 shot blasting combined with weldable shop priming (15–25 μm thickness).





Quality & Traceability
100% Non-Destructive Testing (NDT): Every plate undergoes ultrasonic testing (UT) in accordance with ASTM A578 Level B/C or ClassNK rules to ensure internal sound structure.
Physical Traceability: Hard-stamped with the ClassNK emblem, Heat Number, Plate Number, and Grade on the edge, matching 100% with the official EN 10204 3.2 Mill Test Certificate.



Production Facilities & Process Control
Steelmaking & Refining: Processed via 120T converter, Ladle Furnace (LF), and Vacuum Degassing (VD) to strictly control sulfur and phosphorus levels.
Rolling & Cooling: Utilizes a heavy plate rolling mill equipped with an Automated Accelerated Cooling (ACC) system to ensure uniform microstructural grain refinement and consistent mechanical performance.



Packaging & Shipping Logistics
Corrosion Protection: VCI anti-rust oil film, waterproof plastic wrapping, and edge protectors applied prior to sea freight.
Bundling & Securing: Heavy-duty steel straps with timber dunnage to prevent inter-plate friction during transit.
Flexible Marine Logistics: Containerized loading for standard sizes (under 11.8m) or breakbulk/RO-RO vessels for extra-wide and long plates.
