Key Engineering Advantages

Balanced Cu, Cr, Ni, and P micro-alloying creates a dense, self-healing oxide patina, significantly extending service life and cutting maintenance costs compared to carbon steel.

Delivers a reliable minimum yield strength of 345 MPa alongside excellent cold-forming properties, making it highly versatile for structural bending, laser cutting, and profiling.

Verified Charpy V-notch impact energy (≥ 34J) ensures reliable resistance to brittle fracture even in extreme temperatures down to -20°C / -40°C.

Low-carbon equivalent design allows seamless field welding with standard matched consumables, eliminating pre-heating requirements for standard shop conditions and normal plate thicknesses.

How Atmospheric Corrosion Resistance (Patina) Works

Under alternating wet and dry ambient cycles, the micro-alloying elements (Cu, Cr, Ni, P) dissolve into the rust layer to form a highly compact, amorphous inner oxide barrier. Unlike standard carbon steel-whose rust layer is porous and flake-prone-this dense patina seals the underlying base metal from oxygen and moisture ingress, slowing down ongoing atmospheric corrosion over time.

In-House Processing Capabilities
Precision CNC Cutting: High-power fiber laser cutting, heavy plasma cutting, and flame cutting tailored to complex project drawings.

Forming & Machining: Precision hydraulic bending, cold shearing, hole punching, and beveling.

Surface Preparation: Shot blasting (Sa 2.5 cleanliness standard) and chemical accelerated pre-patina treatment (saving 12–24 months of natural weathering time).

Primary Engineering Applications
Railway Rolling Stock: Coal transport cars, hopper cars, container flat wagons, and passenger car body frames.

Intermodal Freight Equipment: Shipping containers, specialized cargo boxes, and modular housing structures.

Bridges & Infrastructure: Unpainted steel bridges, highway guardrails, power transmission towers, and outdoor sound barriers.

Architectural & Landscape Engineering: Weathering steel facades, curtain walls, outdoor sculptures, and retaining walls (utilizing accelerated pre-patina options).

Industrial Equipment: Air preheaters, chimneys, ductwork, and outdoor storage hoppers exposed to industrial atmospheres.

Strict Quality Control & Physical Traceability

Chemical Verification: On-site Spectrometer / PMI testing to confirm alloy element percentages before dispatch.

Mechanical & NDT Testing: Tensile testing, Charpy V-notch impact testing, and Ultrasonic Testing (UT) per EN 10160 / GB standards upon request.

100% Physical Traceability: Stenciled heat numbers, steel grade, and batch numbers stamped directly on each plate, fully matching the documentation.

FAQ

Q: Can I request a third-party inspection before shipment?

A: Yes. We fully support independent pre-shipment inspection and chemical re-testing by SGS, BV, or Intertek at the port or factory.

Q: Do you provide forced rust/pre-patina treatment services?

A: Yes. We offer chemical pre-weathering to accelerate uniform patina formation, saving 12–24 months of natural outdoor rusting time. Our pre-patina process includes a surface sealing layer to minimize rust runoff during transport and early installation.

Q: How is the material packaged to prevent ocean-transit damage?

A: Plates are bundled with VCI anti-rust paper, waterproof plastic wrap, edge guards, and heavy-duty steel strapping on seaworthy wooden skids.

Q: What are your payment terms and Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ)?

A: Our standard MOQ is 3 to 5 Tons for stock sizes. Standard payment terms are T/T or 100% Irrevocable L/C at sight.
